High definition TV programming is the fastest growing segment of the TV programming industry and cable service provider’s hands are tied and they are being left out of this new futuristic technology.
The cost of high definition TVs has been falling steadily and more and more people are finding them affordable. As peoples standard definition TVs wear out in the future, they will be replacing them with high definition TVs and this trend is expected to only grow.
So where does this leave a cable service provider when you look into the future of TV programming? It just doesn’t look good for them and it is hard to be optimistic no mater which way you look at it. If you are a cable service subscriber, now is the time to start thinking about switching to satellite, while the top two service providers are offering generous promotional packages.
