An Easy Way to Determine a Flour Formula
Simulator for the wheat flour which have based on protein; a mixing model from 3 types wheat to form any formula with the desired blends of flour protein. Suited for the fortificasion / enrichment of the blended flour and for making any formula of the livestock woof. The computerized model which is programed in Turbo Basic Ianguage ( exe file), walk in system of the linear regression so that to reach the target protein of the desired mixture flour; each of the flour input have the lowest and highest ranges. By the simulated formula, we can reduce the production cost by choose the desired flour formula. In the grist hulling industry, generally the wheat which have high protein (strong wheat) more expensive than the wheat which have low protein (soft wheat); so by reducing the strong wheat composition, the production cost will deductible as minimum as possible.
The early idea to make this simulator, a moment of the programmer participated in the practice study and research in the grist factory, PT Bogasari Flour Mills Jakarta a few years ago. There’re various types of grist mingled between the grist which have low protein (soft wheat), medium wheat and high protein (strong wheat). The enumeration of mixing is generally done in manual (calculator) to get content of the desired protein; can be the mixing from 2 types of wheat or 3 types of wheat. By calculation in the manual seen tardy and dabbl to make a mixing test with content of the blended wheat protein coming near content of the desired protein.
From linear regression equations model y = mx + b, a set of data (xi,yi) with n data points, the slope, y-intercept and correlation coefficient, r, we can apply a statistical treatment to determine any desired flour formula.
This simulator program is emphasized by mixing 3 inputs which have different protein, to reach the desired protein percentage level. This simulator program own excess compared by a calculation in the manual. It’s excess besides practical and quickly; each formula from each input have a certain range to reach the target protein of the blended wheat flour which we determine.
From mixing 3 input types amendable for the water tally required during process dampening or the developed program for mixing 4 inputs, 5 inputs or more, or the other component addition like the price input addition each flour/kg, fat, carbohydrate, water and the vitamin or mixing 3 types or more inputs of non grist flour for making any formula of the livestock woof. (Now, this simulator program have been developed up at this).
