Christmas Day is a very important and traditional festival in western countries. It comes on 25th , December People can get several days off from their works. They look forward to go back home to stay with their family members. There is a big dinner for each family. The favorite thing in the family is to decorate the Christmas with little ornaments and bright lights.
At this time, many shops are busy selling gifts as presents. On that day people will exchange their gifts. It is the happiest time for children. At night, they go to bed early, and waiting for the Father Christmas. They believe that the Father Christmas will come down from the chimney and give them the presents. How happy these children are.
Christmas ornaments on trees are derived from Germany. Around 1510, people decorated a fir tree with ornaments of roses in Latvia. Therefore , decorating Christmas tree becomes a tradition gradually for every family in every Christmas Day.
Nowadays, Christmas ornaments is not only a tradition for people ,but also is a recorder of memories for family because every ornaments have a story behind them and passes down from generation to generation.
