Even The Top Players Have Difficulties

Even top athletes like Kobe Bryant struggle in different ways while at play and one good example is game 2 of the NBA Finals. Phil Jackson exclaimed that, untimely in the 1998 NBA Finals, his team the Bulls began the finals in Utah, then came back home for another three games. Phil said mostly his team had to win 1 or 2 in Utah, because if not, based on his viewpoint, they might go back there trailing 3-2 in the series, with advantage. Currently; Kobe Bryant and the Lakers are in need to win all three home games or games 6 and 7 at Boston. Based on Phil Jackson philosophy that is “almost impossible” but not unrealistic. This is a tight situation for the MVP Kobe Bryant and the finals are more persuasive. We like to observe the best in the world be ill with it. We know that. Basketball is not just about Bryant scoring 80 points; People in general like to watch the best player trying to battle his team’s way out of the hole with a lost in the series of 2-0. All of a sudden, the MVP is just like the rest of us, looking desperate a way out to triumph in his career, trying to resolve the situation, trying to hold his team by taking good shots and doing some crazy moves. Now; Kobe has to show himself for Game 3 and try to change their way in the finals to have a chance. Kobe might have the capacity to pull this off or on the other hand he will end like Roger Federer in the finals of the French Open. As fans watch the game, Roger Federer gave the impression of being anxious to accomplish another career Grand Slam, however the result was the opposite, he walked off the court frustrated as Rafael Nadal smashed him 6-1, 6-3, 6-0. Federer was just humiliated by his performance. Another good example is in golf, any golf player who is playing bad has some alternatives. That person can strike an iron off the tee to save some pride. The golf player can stop for a second, focus on the shot and concentrate on striking one good shot. However; Roger Federer didn’t have those alternatives. Playing tennis, even really bad tennis is a lot of hard work. As we all watch the game I know that more than one person thought “This guy might be the most dominant athlete in the world, and he's getting embarrassed.” And again on Sunday night, I guess people were thinking the same way about Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. Moreover; I guess that by the end of the week perhaps people will be thinking the same way about Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods will compete in the U.S Open; this will be his return since he had a knee surgery. That could either be good or bad as in2006, when he had a similar situation due to his father death, he didn’t got to the cut in Winged Foot. With no predictions maybe Tiger will play in a great way to win at Torrey Pines tournament, perhaps maybe Kobe will be at top of his performance and will take the Lakers to a Championship and maybe Federer will uncover his way to defeat Nadal next year in the French Open. Who knows? Maybe all athletes will come back to their best ever shape to amuse us watch them play.
